By accessing or using ResumeReady ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

ResumeReady is an AI-powered resume building platform that provides:

• Resume creation and editing tools
• AI-powered content enhancement
• Cover letter generation
• Career tools and resources
• PDF export functionality

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

We offer various subscription plans with different features and pricing. By subscribing:

• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
• All payments are processed securely through Paystack
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled

5. Refund Policy

Our refund policy is strict and transparent:

• Monthly plans (Starter, Professional, Global, Coach) are non-refundable. Once the billing period begins, the month is yours to use.
• Global 6-Month plan only: partial refund of 50% of whole unused months calculated at the discounted monthly rate, capped at 50% of the total amount paid.
• Partial months (less than 30 days remaining) are not refundable — whole unused months only.
• AI credit top-ups (Top-up, Boost, Pro, Mega packs) are non-refundable once credits are delivered to your account, as they are considered instantly consumed digital goods.
• Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days via the original payment method.
• To request an eligible refund, contact support at support@becomeresumeready.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Submit false or misleading information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Share your account with others
• Use automated tools to access the Service
• Resell or redistribute our Service without permission

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of the content you create. By using our Service, you grant us a license to process your content to provide the Service.

Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

8. AI-Generated Content

Our AI features generate suggestions based on your input. You are responsible for:

• Reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content
• Ensuring accuracy before using in job applications
• Understanding that AI suggestions are tools, not guaranteed outcomes

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be revoked
• Your data will be deleted within 30 days
• No refund for the current billing period on monthly plans. See our refund policy for multi-month plan exceptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeReady shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
